Sigelei Fuchai 213 Review

The Sigelei Fuchai 213 is a budget box mod with a ton of heart. The Fuchai 213 has a maximum power of more than 200 watts — but it costs under $50 at most locations. Normally, when we see a 200 watt box mod under $50, we expect some issues with the device’s fit and finish. You might notice some cosmetic issues, the buttons don’t feel quite right — if you’ve ever bought a budget box mod, you know exactly what we’re talking about. Sub-ohm vaping on a tight budget isn’t always stylish.

The Sigelei Fuchai 213 is something different entirely. In spite of its low price, it is actually one of the most perfect box mods we’ve ever reviewed. The buttons feel absolutely perfect. There are no issues with the finish. The threads are smooth. The battery door doesn’t rattle. In a word, the construction is flawless. In fact, for most e-cigarette users, there is almost no reason to recommend a more expensive mod over the Sigelei Fuchai 213.

What is the Sigelei Fuchai 213?

The Sigelei Fuchai 213 is a two-battery box mod with 213 watts of power and loads of different temperature control modes. It comes in several lovely colors — we received ours from Gearbest in a very attractive metallic orange — and it includes a protective silicone case. Here is a brief list of the Sigelei Fuchai 213’s features:

  • Standard power (wattage) mode
  • Nickel temperature control mode
  • Titanium temperature control mode
  • Stainless steel temperature control mode
  • Custom TCR (temperature coefficient of resistance) mode
  • Custom TFR (temperature factors of resistance) mode
  • Pre-heating function for faster coil ramp-up time
  • Fast USB charging (2 amps)
  • Aluminum alloy exterior
  • Spring-loaded 510 connection with gold-plated center pin

Sigelei Fuchai 213: Initial Impressions

The Sigelei Fuchai 213 comes in a rather nondescript black box — pretty typical for an e-cigarette with such a low price. Opening the box, we were surprised to discover that the Fuchai 213 actually ships with its own protective silicone case. The case is a very nice touch considering the low price of the mod and the fact that it’s a bit heavy with two batteries installed. To date, we’ve never seen another box mod that ships with a protective case.

Our next impression was that the Sigelei Fuchai is simply a very attractive device. We really like the metallic orange color. The Fuchai 213 arrived with absolutely no cosmetic issues.

Battery Compartment

We love the fact that this device has a bottom battery door. It is extremely easy to install and remove batteries — we find that the side battery insertion used by many box mods today tends to tear battery wrappers — and the door doesn’t rattle at all when closed.

Fit and Finish

For that matter, absolutely nothing about the Sigelei Fuchai 213 rattles. The batteries are completely tight and don’t move at all unless you press them. Each button presses with a slight “click” and triggers an instant response. Between the perfect button firmness and responsiveness — and the slight curvature that makes the device very comfortable to hold — the Sigelei Fuchai 213 feels nicer in the hand than just about any box mod we’ve ever reviewed.

Vapor Production and Coil Pre-Heating

From a vapor production standpoint, our experience with the Sigelei Fuchai 213 was absolutely spectacular. The coil pre-heating function absolutely works, generating instant vapor when you press the button.

Display and Battery Monitoring

Another high point of this device is the extremely readable screen. With a diagonal length of nearly an inch, the screen produces large, very legible text and numerals. The Sigelei Fuchai 213 tracks the voltage of each battery separately, displaying both values on the screen in real time. Although you should still use a pair of matched, married batteries in any dual-battery mod, the fact that you can see drastic differences in voltage if they occur should add an extra measure of safety.

Fast USB Charging

Once you’ve installed a pair of batteries in the Sigelei Fuchai 213, you can leave them in indefinitely if you like. The mod comes with a USB charging cable, and it has an integrated 2-amp charger. You can simply connect the device to a USB port for charging if you like.

Battery Life

The Sigelei Fuchai 213 has absolutely spectacular battery life. Using two 2,500 mAh batteries, we only found it necessary to charge the batteries about once per day. We are absolutely sold on two-battery mods now; they might be a little larger and a little heavier than single-battery mods, but having two batteries to split the load really makes a noticeable difference in how long a box mod lasts.

Fun Factor

Using the Sigelei Fuchai 213, there’s an element of fun that we haven’t experienced in a mod in quite some time. It’s like everything about the mod was designed for maximum comfort. If you use it with the included silicone case, you’ll love the mod’s soft feel in the hand — the gentle curvature of the device accentuates that feeling.

Another feature adding to the fun factor is the fact that the fire button feels absolutely perfect. The button’s position is exactly where your thumb or forefinger would naturally rest when you hold the device. The button has enough of a firm “click” that you definitely know when you’re pressing it, but it isn’t overly firm or finicky at all. If you feel the “click,” the device fires.

Sigelei Fuchai 213 Review: Conclusion

Here at eCig One, we’ve written a great many e-cigarette reviews.  We’ve never reviewed anything quite as packed with features as the Sigelei Fuchai 213 at such a reasonable price. It doesn’t just have 213 watts of power. It also supports any type of coil you could ever possibly want to use. Of course, it supports the “big three” temperature control coil types — but you’re also free to use the TCR or TFR of your choice. Want to use a ceramic heating element with a tungsten core in temperature control mode? No problem — and all of this is with a mod costing way, way less than your average DNA200 mod.

The Sigelei Fuchai 213 isn’t just a great box mod because of its functionality, though. It is also great because its build quality is so wonderful. Everything fits together perfectly, nothing rattles and the button response is perfect. The Fuchai 213 is everything that you could possibly want in a premium box mod — but it’s priced low enough to fit into just about any budget.
