The problem with sweetened e-liquid, though, is that the sweetener added to the vape juice – which is usually sucralose – burns and becomes sticky when it’s heated. Sweetened e-liquid causes a dark layer of residue to form on your device’s coil, and the residue eventually causes the coil to produce a burnt flavor.

No vaping devices or e-liquids are immune to coil gunk. Every sweetened e-liquid will eventually ruin a vape coil’s flavor.
