Companies such as ProVape have made the United States a hotbed for electronic cigarette design and modding. Today, an e-smoker in the United States who wants to purchase a locally made e-cigarette has options in any price range from around $30 to over $200. Until recently, however, e-smokers in the United Kingdom were limited to options imported from the United States and China. According to a press release distributed on PR Newswire, Totally Wicked is preparing to release the first electronic cigarette designed and manufactured in the United Kingdom.
The Totally Wicked Odyssey is available for pre-orders at £79.99, making it a bit pricey compared to some other electronic cigarettes. However, the Odyssey will offer a five-year warranty, which is to date unheard of in the e-cigarette industry.
The Odyssey will also have a few rather interesting features. It’s a tube mod with a bottom-mounted fire button, made from stainless steel. It includes its own glass tank system with a dual-coil cartomizer and what appears to be an unusual sealing system to preserve aesthetics and prevent leaking. Totally Wicked also describes the system of filling the Odyssey tank as “unique,” although no specifics are given as to how the tank system differs from other current tank systems.
The Odyssey will take 14500 batteries with capacities of 900 mAh. This should make the body of the e-cigarette reasonably small, although the tank system will add some length. The Odyssey will also be compatible with 510-threaded atomizers and cartomizers.
Totally Wicked is expected to release the Odyssey at the end of June.
I still have my Odyssey it was my first ever Ecig and it kept me off cigarettes although I have had load’s since that.
