When you consider the many benefits that e-cigarettes have over tobacco products, the lower cost may be near the top of the list. Why, then, would anyone pay up to $189.99 for the VaporFi VOX 60 TC when other devices with similar functionality are available for far less? We’ll answer the question up front: If you aren’t interested in the luxury aspect of vaping, the VaporFi VOX 60 TC probably isn’t the device for you.
Since you’re here, though, there’s a good chance that you do have an interest in luxury vaping. We feel that the VaporFi VOX 60 TC fits that bill exactly. The VOX 60 TC looks and feels stellar. The temperature control function works like a champ, and the lithium-polymer battery pack has an exceptionally long life. The VOX 60 TC is an e-cigarette that anyone would be proud to own.

VaporFi VOX 60 TC Review: What’s In the Box
With its brushed zinc alloy case and bright OLED display, the VaporFi VOX 60 TC has a design that’s both elegant and functional. It’s available in two versions: one in a plain glossy silver and another that’s painted black. We received the silver version from VaporFi, and we love it. The black version might allow for a slightly firmer grip, but be warned that the paint could chip off if you handle the device too roughly.
The VOX 60 TC comes with a 2600 mAh dual LiPo battery, which in turn allows it to operate at a maximum of 60 watts. If you’re using a nickel or titanium temperature control coil, you can also adjust the temperature up to a maximum of 600 degrees Fahrenheit.
Whether you’re buying the starter kit or the device only, the VOX 60 TC includes a USB charging cable. The full starter kit includes one of three sub-ohm tanks, which we’ll describe in the next section.
VaporFi VOX 60 Tank and Atomizer Selection
The VOX 60 TC comes with a selection of three different tanks when you select the starter kit. Those attachments are the vShock tank, the vSix tank or the Volt Hybrid tank.
We received the Volt Hybrid Tank from VaporFi for this review. It’s based on the incredibly popular Kanger Subtank Mini. Although it has a few minor enhancements compared to the stock Subtank, any coil that works in a standard Subtank Mini will work in the Volt Hybrid tank as well. The Volt Hybrid Tank does an excellent job of balancing flavor quality with vapor production, and the included RBA deck is an easy way to begin experimenting with building your own coils.
Compared to the Volt Hybrid Tank, the vShock and vSix tanks use much larger and wider coils. So, you’ll get much more vapor per puff out of the vShock and vSix tanks. The trade-off is that the tanks will become hotter during continuous vaping. They’ll also use e-liquid more quickly.
The vShock also has an adjustable collar that allows you to mix air with the vapor before you inhale it, thus creating a cooler puff. Any time you add an extra hole to a tank, though, you introduce an additional avenue for potential leaking. Although we haven’t had the opportunity to try the vShock tank, leaking is an issue that we’ve noticed in other tanks with airflow collars at the tips.
Only the vShock and vSix include temperature control coils out of the box, although you’re free to purchase or build temperature control coils for the Volt Hybrid Tank as well. The vSix tank is the only one of the three that has an additional filling port at the top, allowing you to refill the tank without disassembling it. Like an airflow collar, a top filling hole does introduce the potential for leaks. A top filling port can be quite convenient, though.
Sub-Ohm Your Way
The VaporFi VOX 60 TC features a 510 connection with a floating center pin. The pin is brass and plated with silver for the best possible electrical connection — and since it floats in its socket, it requires no manual adjustments. Simply screw in the tank or atomizer of your choice, and it’ll work. Although VaporFi has an excellent selection of sub-ohm tanks available, you’re free to save a few dollars by using your own tank instead. The VOX 60 TC will fire any coil with a resistance of 0.1 to 3.5 ohms.
VaporFi VOX 60 TC Build Quality
The VOX 60 TC is unique in that it is the first e-cigarette we have reviewed that utilizes a “unibody” design. This means that the entire body of the VOX 60 TC is machined as one piece. There are no screws except to seal the device at the top.
This makes it less prone to rattles, creates a more solid feeling, and reduces the overall chance that the VOX 60 TC will break during normal use.
Over the years, our team has tested hundreds of e-cigarettes. The VOX 60 TC represents one of the most stylish and most beautiful builds we have found. A modest investment into a silicone cover to protect this beauty will only set you back $9.99.
VaporFi VOX 60 TC Battery Life, Vapor Production and Temperature Control
LiPo batteries have been held in mixed regard by the e-smoking community. The VOX 60 TC’s LiPo battery makes it clear that the extra cost is well worth the power and capacity that LiPo batteries bring to the table.
The VOX 60 TC is probably the longest lasting e-cigarette we have tested, even when it is set to a higher temperature. The only e-cigarettes that outlast it are those that utilize 26650 cells, or possibly multiple cells.
Perhaps because of the excellent electrical connection between the battery, device and atomizer, we find that the VaporFi VOX 60 TC seems to produce more vapor per puff than other similar e-cigarettes — even with the same attachments and wattage settings.
One thing worth noting is that the VOX 60 TC takes a while to charge as it requires a 0.5-amp current. At the time of writing, VaporFi does not sell a 0.5-amp wall charger. This one should do the trick. Otherwise, if you’re going to charge the VOX 60 TC from a computer’s USB port, make sure that you use the cable included with the device. The cable’s pins should ensure that the VOX 60 TC charges with the correct current. If you aren’t sure, this meter may help.
VaporFi VOX 60 TC Review: Conclusion
Out of all the e-cigarettes we have used and reviewed, the VaporFi VOX 60 TC is our favorite at the time of writing. It has a unique feel and a sensational look to it. The battery is robust and provides an incredible amount of use on just one charge.
One drawback, however, is the fact that the VaporFi VOX 60 TC tops out at 60 watts. If you’re like us, then this drawback won’t affect you too much because we enjoy taking long, deep inhales without the presence of burned wicks — and the best way to do that is at settings well under 60 watts.
The VaporFi VOX 60 TC represents a functional, sleek and stylish e-smoking experience. If function is the only thing you care about, then the VOX 60 TC may not be for you. If you like having a little extra, then you should definitely give the VOX 60 TC a try.
